After spending a lot of my time on my VCDX defense preparation, I decided it was time to rebuild my lab environment. And what is better then to start with NSX-v 6.4.
After preparing the management host (single Intel NUC), it was time to deploy the NSX controllers. I use NSX IP Pools to give the NSX controllers its network configuration, and when I wanted to configure the IP Pool I noticed something quite handy.
First off, the UI improvements of NSX-v 6.4 are super! No more endless clicking until you reach the IP Pool configuration. The navigator now has a Groups and Tags item, in which you will find the IP Pools as well as all grouping objects such as Security Groups, IP sets, MAC sets, Service Groups, and of course the configuration of Security Tags.
Secondly, when creating an IP pool it is possible to import ranges from .csv or .txt files and export the created ranges to a .txt file. And maybe I missed it in previous versions, but it is now possible to add multiple ranges of IP addresses.
